www.wildmuskoka.com, or one of our associated product, course, newsletter, or resource pages (collectively

referred to as “the Website”). These Terms of Use are entered into by you and Chris Outdoors, a division of

2686566 Ontario INC (hereinafter referred to as “Company”).

By accessing or using the Website, purchasing or using any of our services, digital content, or programs, you

accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and our Earnings Disclaimer. These

Terms may be updated at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Website after such changes

constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Website or purchase our services. By using our Website or

engaging with any of our offerings, you confirm that you are of legal age and agree to these Terms in full.

2. Program & Refund Policies

2.1 In-Person Program Cancellations

Each in-person program is subject to its own unique cancellation policy as listed on the registration page. If no

cancellation policy is posted, the following applies:

• Cancellations more than 14 days prior to the event: full refund minus 10% administration fee.

• Cancellations 3–14 days before the event: 50% refund.

• Cancellations within 72 hours of the event: no refund.

2.2 Online Courses – Refund Policy

We offer a 100% money-back guarantee on online course purchases within the first 30 days of purchase.

Refunds must be requested in writing via email to chris@chrisoutdoors.ca within this period.

3. Assumption of Risk and Waiver – In-Person Programs

Participation in in-person workshops, programs, or events hosted by Chris Outdoors involves inherent risks,

including but not limited to physical exertion, environmental hazards, and the use of tools or equipment. By

participating, you agree to release and hold harmless Chris Outdoors, 2686566 Ontario INC, Wild Muskoka,

Laura Gilmour, Chris Gilmour, and any owners of event locations, from all liability for injuries, losses, hardships,

or death arising from participation.

You acknowledge that you voluntarily assume all risks, and that Chris Outdoors and its associated individuals

and entities shall not be held liable for any physical, emotional, mental, or material damages resulting from

participation or use of any teachings or information provided.

4. Assumption of Risk and Disclaimer – Online Courses and the Mushroom Course

Our online courses, including but not limited to “The Mushroom Course Online,” are for educational purposes

only. The Mushroom Course does not certify participants to forage wild mushrooms or to identify them with

expert-level accuracy. Consumption of wild mushrooms should only be done with in-person guidance from a

qualified expert. Misidentification of wild mushrooms can result in serious illness or death.

Participants are solely responsible for their decisions and actions regarding mushroom identification and

foraging.

Additionally, there are inherent risks to growing mushrooms indoors, including but not limited to moisture

damage, mold growth, or respiratory issues from poor ventilation or improper handling. Participants must review

and follow all safety videos and guidelines included in the course. By engaging with this material, you agree that

you are fully responsible for managing risks and consequences related to mushroom cultivation or foraging, and

you release Chris Outdoors, 2686566 Ontario INC, and affiliated individuals from any liability related to such

activities.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website and in our courses—including text, graphics, videos, PDFs, and course

materials—is the intellectual property of Chris Outdoors or licensed appropriately. You may not reproduce,

share, or distribute this content without express written permission. This includes:

• Sharing course access credentials

• Uploading course materials to third-party sites

• Using course content for commercial purposes

Violation of this section may result in immediate termination of access and legal action. Injunctive relief may be

sought to prevent ongoing or potential violations.

6. License for Free Digital Materials

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and view free materials for

personal, non-commercial use only. Under this license, you may not:

• Modify or reproduce the materials

• Use for commercial or public distribution

• Reverse-engineer any software

• Remove copyright markings

This license is terminated automatically if you violate any terms and may be revoked at any time.

7. Technology, Access & Accuracy Disclaimer

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Website. You are responsible for using

appropriate antivirus software and backups. We are not liable for any damages resulting from the use or

inability to use the Website, including damage to devices, data, or loss of profits.

8. Disclaimer of Educational Use and Warranties

All content is provided for educational and informational purposes only. Our content is not a substitute for

professional advice, certified training, or emergency services. You are solely responsible for your decisions,

actions, and any consequences resulting from the implementation of our content.

We do not provide certified first aid or emergency preparedness training.

As Is / As Available: All Website content, courses, forums, and related services are provided on an “as is” and

“as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to,

Chris Outdoors, 2686566 Ontario INC, and affiliated individuals are not liable for any outcomes, injuries, losses,

hardships, or death resulting from the use of our content, whether direct or indirect.

9. Forums, Comments & Community Guidelines

You are welcome to participate in our communities, but you agree not to post:

• Illegal, threatening, or abusive content

• Offensive or discriminatory language

• Commercial promotions or spam

• Anything that infringes on third-party rights

We reserve the right to remove content and restrict access at our sole discretion. Any submissions may be

used by the Company for marketing or internal purposes, unless you request anonymity in writing.

10. Payment Terms

By purchasing from our Website, you agree to pay all listed fees in full. If you choose a payment plan, you

authorize recurring charges until the balance is paid. Failure to maintain payments may result in termination of

access.

11. Taxes

Applicable Canadian sales tax will be charged on all eligible purchases. If purchasing via a third-party platform,

their tax policies will apply.

12. Third-Party Links and Content

We may link to external websites for informational purposes. We are not responsible for the content, security, or

practices of third-party websites.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Company, its officers, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for

any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

• The use or inability to use the Website or its content

• Actions taken based on educational content

• Participation in in-person or online programs

• User submissions or reliance on community/forum content

This limitation includes, but is not limited to, liability for any injuries, losses, hardships, or death.

Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant product or service.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates, employees, officers, and contractors from

any claims, damages, or expenses resulting from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Website.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved

exclusively in the courts located in Ontario.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.

17. Affiliate Conditions

17.1 Jurisdiction and venue

All legal disputes arising from or relating to your affiliate activities must be filed and settled in the court system

of Ontario, Canada. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of Ontario courts.

17.2 Official records and calculations

The affiliate dashboard within the Chris Outdoors Systeme.io account is the sole and official system of record

for clicks, orders, refunds, commissions, and payments. It overrides any affiliate-maintained records,

dashboards, or third-party reporting.

17.3 Permission to promote

Affiliates must obtain written permission from Chris Outdoors before promoting any course or program as an

affiliate.

17.4 Commission rates

Affiliates are bound by the default affiliate commission set by Chris Outdoors unless there is a written

agreement from Chris Outdoors specifying a different rate.

17.5 Payment timing

Affiliate commissions will be paid approximately 1 to 3 months after the original purchase date to allow time for

our 30 day refund policy and proper data collection and tracking.

17.6 Late payments

No penalty or interest may be charged on late affiliate payments.

17.7 Limitation of liability

Chris Outdoors is not legally liable for any financial hardships, losses, or legal ramifications that result from you

promoting our courses as an affiliate.

17.8 Currency and exchange

All payments are calculated and paid in Canadian dollars (CAD). International affiliates will be paid based on

the exchange rate on the day payment is made, in accordance with whichever payment or money transfer

institution is used.

18. User Submissions, Forums & Content Policy

18.1 Submissions and Ownership

By submitting comments, survey responses, posts, messages, or any other content (“Submissions”) through

our Website, courses, communities, or forums, you warrant that you own or have the rights to provide such

content. You grant Chris Outdoors a royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, adapt, display, distribute,

and create derivative works from your Submissions for educational, marketing, or community purposes. If you

wish to remain anonymous, you must request this in writing.

18.2 Non-Confidential Nature of Forums

Our communities and forums (including Facebook Groups, www.chrisoutdoors.ca, Systeme.io or other

platforms) are designed for public or semi-public interaction. Any information you post may be visible to others,

collected by third parties,

and used in ways beyond our control. Do not post confidential information unless explicitly authorized in writing

by Chris Outdoors.

18.3 Prohibited Content

You agree not to submit content that is illegal, offensive, discriminatory, threatening, infringing on third-party

rights, obscene, pornographic, harassing, harmful to minors, misleading, or that contains viruses, spam, chain

letters, pyramid schemes, or impersonation. We reserve the right to remove or delete any content at our sole

discretion, without notice or liability.

18.4 Company Rights

• Remove or edit any Submissions in its sole discretion.

• Cooperate with law enforcement and comply with court orders.

• Restrict or terminate your access to communities or forums without notice if rules are violated.

• Retain non-exclusive rights to display contributed content for an indefinite period, unless otherwise agreed

in writing.

18.5 Disclaimer of Responsibility for User Content

We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of user-generated content. Forums may include

inaccurate, offensive, or misleading information. Your reliance on such content is solely at your own risk, and

Chris Outdoors disclaims all liability for injuries, losses, hardships, or death that may result from reliance on

user submissions.
