Meet Your Fungi Guides

Hi, We Will be Your Mushroom Guides for the Evening...

Laura & Chris Gilmour – Foragers & Herbalists from Wild Muskoka Botanicals. We bring our combined expertise in sustainable wildcrafting and herbal medicine to inspire you to connect deeply with the land.

We were introduced to mushroom cultivation and wild foraging over 20 years ago while apprenticing in permaculture and sustainable forest management on Seven Ravens Farm.

Today, we live on a twenty-six-acre homestead where we grow and forage food for ourselves and our wild foods business, Wild Muskoka. Growing and foraging mushrooms has been a complete game changer on our homestead, as it is one of the quickest and easiest ways to grow an entire year's worth of food in a small space with relatively low work compared to other garden crops.

Over the past two decades, we have learned many tricks and tips that can help speed up your learning curve and improve your self-reliance, food security and connection to the land.

Steve Lukacic – Professional Outdoor Guide, Forager & Fungi Enthusiast. Steve’s vast knowledge of wild mushrooms and foraging practices will help you unlock the secrets of winter's hidden medicine. Steve is very knowledgeable about the science of Chaga and leads mycology workshops and mushroom walks in Haliburton and around, Ontario. He also has a fascinating educational Instagram & YOuTube channel. We will send these to you as soon as you register.

We hope you can join us for this upcoming free class!
